Possible Causes
Failed turntable motor, Broken or stripped turntable coupler, Turntable off or misaligned, Faulty turntable relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave before accessing the bottom panel or motor.
- Check turntable settings: Some Fisher & Paykel models allow the turntable to be turned off. Verify that the turntable function is enabled.
- Inspect glass tray and roller ring: Remove the glass tray and roller ring. Clean them and the cavity floor. Ensure the roller ring is not broken and is seated correctly.
- Check coupler: Inspect the plastic coupler that fits onto the motor shaft. If cracked or stripped, replace it.
- Test motor: Access the underside of the microwave to reach the turntable motor. Test for continuity with a multimeter. Replace the motor if open or seized.
- Control board check: If the motor is good but never receives power, the control board's turntable relay may be faulty and require board replacement.
