Possible Causes
Failed cavity thermistor, Loose thermistor connection, Control board misreading sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Disconnect power. Avoid contact with high-voltage components.
Steps:
- Allow cooling: Let the microwave cool completely, then retry. Overheating can temporarily trigger this error.
- Access thermistor: Remove the outer cabinet and locate the cavity thermistor on the side or top of the cavity.
- Inspect wiring: Check for loose or damaged wires and reseat connectors.
- Replace thermistor: Install a new Frigidaire cavity temperature sensor / thermistor if the error persists.
Note: If a new sensor does not resolve E-13, the main control board may require replacement.
