Microwave displays F6 and may not respond to keypad commands.

Safety First: Disconnect power before removing any panels.

Steps:

• Access control panel: Remove the top grille and the screw(s) securing the control panel. Tilt the panel forward.
• Inspect ribbon cable: Disconnect the keypad ribbon from the control board, inspect for cracks, burns, or corrosion, then reconnect firmly.
• Clean connector: If corrosion is present, gently clean the connector with electronic contact cleaner and allow to dry fully.
• Test: Restore power and check if F6 clears. If the error persists, the keypad or control board is likely defective.
• Replace parts: Replace the Frigidaire control panel / keypad assembly first (most common). If that does not resolve the issue, replace the main control board.
