How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Unplug the microwave before accessing the bottom panel.
Steps:
- Check setup: Ensure the glass tray is seated correctly on the center coupler and roller ring.
- Inspect for damage: Remove the glass tray and roller ring. Check the plastic coupler for cracks or wear.
- Listen for motor: Start the microwave (with a cup of water) and listen for a faint motor hum. If silent and the coupler does not turn, the motor may be bad.
- Access motor: On many Frigidaire models, remove the bottom panel to access the turntable motor. Disconnect power first.
- Replace parts: Replace the Frigidaire turntable motor and/or turntable coupler if defective.
