How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave and allow it to cool fully. Grill elements and nearby metal parts can remain hot for a long time.
Steps:
- 1. Check ventilation: Ensure proper clearance around the microwave and that top and rear vents are not blocked.
- 2. Access grill assembly: Remove the outer cabinet. Locate the grill element at the top of the cavity and its associated thermal fuse/thermostat.
- 3. Test grill thermal fuse/thermostat: Disconnect wires and check for continuity. If open at room temperature, replace the fuse/thermostat with the correct Galanz-rated part.
- 4. Inspect wiring: Look for heat-damaged insulation or loose connectors around the grill element.
- 5. If the fuse repeatedly opens: There may be a control issue or airflow problem. Have a technician check the control board and fan operation.
