Possible Causes
Failed turntable motor, Jammed turntable mechanism, Faulty turntable position sensor (if equipped), Damaged wiring to motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before accessing the bottom panel or internal components.
Steps:
- 1. Check the glass tray and roller ring: Remove the tray and roller ring. Clean both and the cavity floor. Make sure nothing is wedged under the ring.
- 2. Test operation without load: With the tray removed, plug in and start a short cook cycle. Look through the window to see if the turntable coupler rotates. If not, proceed.
- 3. Access the turntable motor: Unplug the unit. Turn it upside down on a padded surface. Remove the bottom panel screws to expose the turntable motor.
- 4. Inspect and test the motor: Check for burnt smell or discoloration. Disconnect the motor wires and test for continuity. If open or seized, replace the motor with a Galanz-compatible turntable motor.
- 5. Check wiring and coupler: Ensure the motor shaft engages the coupler properly and that wiring is intact.
