How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before removing the control panel.
Steps:
- 1. Power reset: Unplug for 10–15 minutes to allow any static or minor moisture issues to dissipate. Plug back in and test. If SE returns, continue.
- 2. Dry the keypad area: If SE appeared after heavy steam use, leave the door open and allow the control area to dry for several hours. Avoid spraying cleaners directly on the keypad.
- 3. Inspect keypad ribbon cable: Remove the control panel (usually a few screws and lifting up). Disconnect and reconnect the flat ribbon cable between the keypad and control board. Check for corrosion or damage.
