Steps:

• 1. Remove metal objects: Ensure no metal utensils, twist ties, or foil are inside unless specifically allowed by the manual.
• 2. Inspect waveguide cover: Locate the mica or plastic cover on the side wall or ceiling. If it is burned, cracked, or has holes, replace it with a Galanz-compatible waveguide cover.
• 3. Clean cavity: Thoroughly clean any burnt food or grease, especially near the waveguide and corners. Use a non-abrasive cleaner.
• 4. Touch up paint: If enamel is chipped exposing bare metal, use microwave-safe cavity touch-up paint to cover small areas.
• 5. Test: After repairs, test with a cup of water. If arcing persists, discontinue use and have a technician inspect the waveguide and magnetron.
