Microwave displays "FOOD" and will not start cooking until cleared.

Note: This is a protective feature on some GE models.

• Place food inside: Ensure there is a microwave-safe container with food or water on the turntable.
• Close door firmly: Make sure the door is fully closed and latched.
• Press Start again: After confirming food is present, press Start to begin cooking.
• Avoid running empty: Never operate the microwave empty; it can damage the magnetron.
