Note: LOC is not a fault; it indicates the control lock is active.

• Disable control lock: On most GE microwaves, press and hold the Clear/Off or Cancel button for 3–5 seconds until the LOC indicator disappears. Some models use a specific key like Lock Controls or a combination (refer to the user manual).
• Check keypad labeling: Look for small text under a key indicating "Hold 3 Sec for Lock" or similar.
