Possible Causes
Failed turntable motor, Broken or stripped turntable coupler, Turntable support ring off track or damaged, Obstruction under the turntable
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before accessing the turntable motor from below.
- Check setup: Ensure the glass tray is properly seated on the turntable coupler and support ring. Remove and clean any spilled food or debris.
- Inspect support ring: Check the plastic ring and rollers for cracks or flat spots. Replace if damaged.
- Coupler check: Remove the glass tray and gently try to turn the plastic coupler by hand. It should turn with some resistance. If it spins freely without moving the motor, the coupler may be stripped.
- Motor test (advanced): Access the turntable motor from the bottom of the unit. A technician can test for proper voltage and replace the motor if it is open or seized.
