How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance before cleaning internal components.
- Clean the cavity and sensor area: Locate the steam/humidity sensor opening (often on the top or side of the cavity). Clean the area thoroughly with a mild detergent and soft cloth to remove grease and steam residue. Do not use abrasive pads.
- Ventilation check: Ensure vents are clear so steam can escape properly; blocked vents can cause abnormal humidity readings.
- Power reset: After cleaning, leave the door open for 30 minutes to dry, then reconnect power and test.
- Inspect sensor connection (qualified persons): Remove the outer cover, trace the small harness from the sensor to the control board, and verify the connector is secure and wires are intact.
- Replace sensor if needed: If E4 persists, replace the humidity sensor with a Gorenje-compatible part and retest.
