How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave and allow it to cool for at least 30 minutes.
- Ventilation: Confirm that the microwave has the recommended clearance around it and that vents are not blocked by cabinets or objects.
- Clean intake/exhaust: Remove dust and grease from vents using a vacuum and soft brush.
- Thermal cut-out check (qualified persons): Remove the cover and locate thermal cut-outs on the magnetron and transformer. Test for continuity. Replace any open thermal fuse/thermostat with the correct Gorenje-rated part.
- Investigate cause: If a thermal device has opened, check the cooling fan and airflow path to prevent recurrence.
