How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave before accessing the underside or internal components.
Step-by-step checks:
- 1. Check for mechanical obstruction: Remove the glass tray and roller ring. Clean any spilled food or debris from the cavity floor. Inspect the roller ring for cracks and ensure it rolls smoothly.
- 2. Inspect the coupler: The plastic turntable coupler in the center of the cavity should be firmly seated and not cracked. Replace if worn or loose.
- 3. Test without load: Reinstall the roller ring and coupler but leave the glass tray off. Run the microwave briefly and observe if the coupler turns (through the window). If it does not move, proceed to motor checks.
- 4. Access the motor: On many Grundig models, the turntable motor is mounted under the cavity floor and accessible from the bottom after removing a cover plate.
- 5. Test motor: Disconnect the motor wires and measure resistance across the motor terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. Also inspect the wiring for damage.
- 6. Replace motor if faulty: Install a compatible Grundig turntable motor, ensuring the shaft aligns with the coupler. Refit the bottom cover securely.
After reassembly, test with the glass tray installed. If E07 persists despite a new motor and intact coupler, the control PCB's motor drive circuit may be defective.
