How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before removing any panels.
- Power cycle: Unplug the microwave for at least 10 minutes to allow the control board to fully discharge. Plug back in and check if E6 clears.
- Check power quality: Avoid using long extension cords or shared power strips. Plug directly into a properly grounded outlet.
- Inspect control connections (advanced): Remove the top grille and control panel (unplugged). Check the wiring harnesses between the display board and main PCB for loose or partially seated connectors.
- Look for burn marks: If the control board shows signs of burning or component damage, it must be replaced.
- Replace main PCB: If reseating connectors does not help, the main control board is likely defective and should be replaced with a Haier-compatible PCB. This is typically a technician-level repair.
