Possible Causes
Faulty weight sensor under turntable, Misaligned or jammed sensor mechanism, Loose sensor wiring, Failed control board input circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before lifting or removing internal components.
- Remove all items: Take out the glass tray, roller ring, and any cookware. Wipe the bottom of the cavity clean.
- Check for obstructions: Ensure nothing is stuck under the turntable support or pressing on the cavity floor that could affect the weight sensor.
- Reset unit: Plug the microwave back in and try a simple time-cook function with an empty cavity (if allowed by the manual) or with a standard cup of water.
- Internal sensor check (advanced): On some Haier models, a weight sensor or load cell is mounted beneath the cavity floor. Access usually requires removing the outer cover and sometimes the bottom panel. Inspect the sensor bracket and wiring for damage or disconnection.
- Replace faulty sensor: If the sensor is physically damaged or tests out of range, replace it with the correct Haier weight sensor assembly.
- Control board possibility: If a new sensor does not resolve E7, the main PCB may be defective and should be replaced by a technician.
