Possible Causes
Failed turntable motor, Jammed turntable or roller ring, Damaged turntable coupler, Loose motor wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before accessing the bottom panel.
- Check for jams: Remove the glass tray and roller ring. Clean any spilled food or debris from the cavity floor. Inspect the roller ring for cracks or flat spots.
- Inspect coupler: Check the plastic turntable coupler that fits over the motor shaft. Ensure it is not cracked or stripped.
- Test without load: With the tray and ring removed, run a short cook cycle and look through the window to see if the coupler turns. If it does not move, stop the cycle and unplug the unit.
- Access motor (advanced): On many Haier models, the turntable motor is mounted under the cavity floor and accessible from the bottom. Remove the bottom cover (if separate) and inspect the motor and wiring.
- Replace motor: If the motor is burned, seized, or tests open with a meter, replace it with the correct Haier turntable motor.
