Possible Causes
Contaminated humidity sensor, Faulty sensor module, Loose sensor wiring, Control board sensor circuit failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before cleaning or removing covers.
- Clean cavity thoroughly: Steam and grease can interfere with sensor readings. Clean the interior walls, ceiling, and especially around any sensor vents or grilles.
- Dry interior: Leave the door open for at least 30 minutes to allow moisture to evaporate.
- Power reset: Unplug for 5–10 minutes, then plug back in and test a non-sensor function (e.g., manual time cook). If manual cooking works but sensor modes show SE, the sensor circuit is at fault.
- Inspect sensor wiring (advanced): With the cover removed (unplugged), locate the sensor module and check its connector and wiring harness.
- Replace sensor module: If cleaning and reseating connectors do not help, replace the humidity/sensor module with a Haier-compatible part.
