Possible Causes
Open or shorted cavity NTC sensor, Damaged sensor wiring harness, Loose connector on control board, Failed control board temperature input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave and allow it to cool completely before inspection.
- Allow cool-down: If E07 appeared after long high-temperature use (grill or convection), leave the door open and let the unit cool for 30–60 minutes, then retry.
- Inspect sensor area: Locate the cavity temperature sensor (usually a small probe or covered sensor on the oven wall or ceiling in combi models). Check for visible damage, burnt insulation, or heavy grease buildup. Clean gently if dirty.
- Check wiring (if accessible from inside cavity): Some Hansa models allow access to the sensor connector from inside the cavity behind a small cover. With power disconnected, remove the cover and ensure the sensor plug is firmly seated.
- Professional testing: A technician should measure the resistance of the NTC sensor at room temperature and compare it to Hansa specifications. Replace the sensor or main control board as required.
Warning: Do not operate the microwave with a bypassed or incorrect sensor; overheating and fire risk may result.
