Possible Causes
Contaminated humidity sensor, Failed steam sensor, Loose sensor wiring, Faulty sensor input on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing any internal covers.
- Clean the cavity thoroughly: Grease and food residue can coat the humidity sensor. Clean the interior walls and ceiling with a mild detergent solution, then wipe with clean water and dry.
- Locate the humidity sensor: On many Hansa models, the sensor is behind a small grille or cover inside the cavity (often on the top or side). Gently clean around the cover; do not poke objects through the grille.
- Allow drying time: After cleaning, leave the door open for several hours to ensure the sensor area is dry, then test sensor cooking again.
- Use manual modes: If E13 persists only in sensor modes, use manual time/power settings until the sensor can be replaced.
- Professional replacement: A technician can access and replace the humidity sensor and check its wiring to the control board.
Warning: Do not spray cleaners directly into sensor openings; use a cloth instead.
