Possible Causes
Stalled turntable motor, Jammed turntable support, Broken turntable coupler, Faulty motor wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave before touching the turntable drive components.
- Remove and clean turntable parts: Take out the glass tray and the roller ring. Clean both and the cavity floor with warm soapy water, then dry.
- Inspect coupler: Check the plastic coupler that fits over the motor shaft for cracks or deformation. Ensure it sits firmly in place.
- Check for obstructions: Make sure no food debris or broken glass is lodged around the motor shaft opening.
- Test without load: With the tray removed, run the microwave briefly and look through the glass to see if the coupler turns. If it does not move and E15 appears, the motor or its wiring may be faulty.
- Replace turntable motor: Access to the motor is usually from the bottom of the unit and should be done by a technician. The motor can then be tested and replaced with the correct Hansa part.
Warning: Do not operate the microwave with the bottom cover removed; live parts are exposed.
