How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before moving or lifting the appliance.
- Check for proper loading: Ensure a suitable dish with food is placed on the turntable when using auto/weight programs. Some models will show E20 if the load is too light or absent.
- Level the appliance: Make sure the microwave is on a stable, level surface. An uneven base can affect weight sensor readings.
- Power reset: Unplug for 10 minutes, then reconnect and test with a normal load.
- Professional inspection: If E20 persists with proper loading, the weight sensor or its wiring under the cavity may be faulty and should be tested and replaced by a technician.
Warning: Do not attempt to shim or modify the base around the sensor; this can cause inaccurate readings and unsafe operation.
