Failed turntable motor,Turntable motor wiring harness loose,Obstructed turntable causing motor stall,Defective turntable position sensor (if equipped)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave before touching the turntable drive components.
Steps:
- Remove and inspect the glass tray: Take out the glass turntable and support ring. Clean any spilled food, debris, or broken glass from the cavity floor and roller track.
- Check the turntable coupler: Inspect the plastic coupler that fits over the motor shaft for cracks or melting. Ensure it sits properly in the cavity floor.
- Test operation without load: With the glass tray removed but the coupler in place, plug the unit back in and start a short cook cycle with a microwave-safe cup of water placed off-center on the cavity floor. Observe whether the coupler attempts to rotate.
- Listen for motor noise: If you hear a humming or grinding noise but no rotation, the motor may be seized.
Technician tasks:
- Access the underside of the cavity to test and replace the turntable motor.
- Inspect wiring to the motor and any position sensor used by the Hisense model.
