Gentle adjustment: Sometimes, tightening the visible door hinge screws (if accessible) can improve alignment. Do not force or bend the door.
Test operation: After any minor adjustments, plug the unit back in and test with a short cook cycle.

When to call a technician:

If the E9 code persists despite proper door closure.
If the door appears warped or the latch hooks are damaged.
A technician can replace the door latch assembly or adjust the door switch bracket inside the cabinet.

Microwave displays E9 and will not start; sometimes accompanied by beeping.
