Possible Causes
Incorrect damper installation,Blocked or kinked exhaust duct,Grease filters clogged,Failed exhaust fan motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave before removing filters or grilles.
Steps:
- Clean grease filters: Remove the metal grease filters from the bottom of the Hisense over-the-range microwave and clean them with hot, soapy water. Dry completely before reinstalling.
- Check recirculation vs. external venting: Ensure the blower is configured correctly for your installation (recirculating or vented to outside) according to the installation manual.
- Inspect external vent: If vented outside, check the wall or roof cap for obstructions or stuck dampers.
If airflow is still poor:
- A technician may need to inspect the exhaust fan motor, blower wheel, and internal ducting.
