How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave before handling the turntable components.
Steps:
- Remove and clean: Take out the glass tray and roller ring. Clean the cavity floor and roller track thoroughly.
- Inspect roller ring: Check for flat spots, broken wheels, or warping. Replace if damaged.
- Check coupler: Inspect the plastic coupler that fits over the motor shaft. If it is cracked or loose, it may not engage the tray.
- Test motor: With the tray removed but coupler in place, plug in the microwave and run a short cook cycle with a cup of water. Look through the door to see if the coupler turns.
If the coupler does not turn:
- The turntable motor or its wiring is likely faulty and should be replaced by a technician.
