Safety first: Unplug the microwave before internal inspection.

Check door closure: Ensure the door closes fully and evenly. Look for obstructions on the door seal or frame.
Inspect latch hooks: Examine the plastic hooks on the door for cracks or wear. Replace the door latch assembly if damaged.
Listen for clicks: Open and close the door slowly; you should hear multiple clicks from the interlock switches.
Access switches: Remove the outer cabinet and control panel to reach the door switch assembly. Verify switches are properly aligned and actuated by the latch.
Replace faulty switches: Replace any defective door interlock switches and adjust the latch bracket as needed.

Display shows 'door' or a door icon and the microwave will not start even when the door is closed.
