Possible Causes

Failed turntable motor, Jammed turntable coupler, Broken turntable drive, Faulty motor wiring or connector

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the microwave before working underneath or inside the cabinet.

  • Step 1 – Check for mechanical obstruction: Remove the glass tray and roller ring. Clean any spilled food or debris from the turntable support and cavity floor. Ensure the plastic coupler turns freely by hand.
  • Step 2 – Test without load: Run the microwave briefly (with a cup of water) and observe the coupler through the glass. If it does not turn and F10 appears, the motor or its circuit may be faulty.
  • Step 3 – Access motor (advanced): Remove the microwave from its housing (for built‑in models), unplug, and remove the bottom cover. Locate the turntable motor fixed under the cavity floor.
  • Step 4 – Check wiring and resistance: Inspect the motor wires and connector. With the unit unplugged, disconnect the motor and measure its resistance. An open circuit indicates a failed motor.
  • Step 5 – Replace motor: Remove the mounting screws, fit a new Indesit‑specified turntable motor, and reassemble. Ensure the coupler engages correctly with the motor shaft.

Note: Never run the microwave empty; always place a load (e.g., a cup of water) when testing.
