Possible Causes
High internal temperature, Stuck fan relay on PCB, Faulty temperature sensor, Control board logic fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Running the fan after cooking is normal for cooling, but excessively long operation may indicate a fault.
- Step 1 – Allow full cool‑down: After heavy use (especially grill/convection), it is normal for the fan to run for several minutes. Monitor if it eventually stops.
- Step 2 – Check ventilation: Ensure vents are clear and the microwave is not built‑in without the correct trim kit.
- Step 3 – Power reset: If the fan never stops, unplug the microwave for 10 minutes, reconnect, and observe behaviour.
- Step 4 – Sensor and relay check (advanced): A technician can test the cavity temperature sensor and fan relay on the PCB. Replace faulty components as needed.
Note: Continuous fan operation with the oven cold usually points to a control or sensor fault.
