Possible Causes

Aging VFD or LED display, Faulty display driver on PCB, Loose display connector, Low‑voltage supply instability

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the microwave before accessing the control panel.

  • Step 1 – Power reset: Disconnect from mains for 10 minutes, reconnect, and observe the display.
  • Step 2 – Check brightness settings: Some models allow dimming; ensure the brightness is not set to minimum.
  • Step 3 – Inspect connections (advanced): Remove the control panel and check the connector between the display and main PCB. Reseat it firmly.
  • Step 4 – Board or display replacement: If the display remains dim or segments are missing, replace the display module or entire control board, depending on how the parts are supplied by Indesit.

Tip: A gradually dimming VFD is usually age‑related and requires module replacement.
