Cooktop Lamp or Relay Failure (OTR Models)
Microwave over-the-range model cooktop light does not work or is stuck on.

How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety Warning: Unplug the microwave or turn off the breaker before replacing bulbs. Use only bulbs rated for microwave use.
Steps:
- Locate the cooktop lamp access cover on the underside of the over-the-range microwave.
- Remove the cover and replace the bulb with the correct wattage and type specified by Insignia.
- If the light remains on constantly or never turns on with a known-good bulb, the lamp relay or socket may be faulty.
Technician-level:
- Test the lamp socket for proper voltage when the light is commanded on/off.
- Replace the main control board if the relay is stuck or not switching.
