Possible Causes

Loose keypad ribbon cable, Damaged keypad connector, Failed user interface board, Control board communication circuit fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety First: Unplug the microwave before accessing the control area.

  • Remove control panel: Take off the top grille and mounting screws to remove the control panel assembly.
  • Inspect ribbon cable: Examine the flat ribbon cable from the keypad to the control board for cracks, kinks, or burn marks. Reseat both ends firmly.
  • Clean connectors: If there is visible oxidation, gently clean the contacts with a soft pencil eraser and blow away debris. Do not use liquids on the connector.
  • Test operation: Reassemble enough to power the unit and test. If F11 persists, the keypad or UI board is likely defective.
  • Replace UI/Keypad: Replace the user interface board or membrane keypad assembly. If a new UI does not resolve the error, replace the main control board.
