Possible Causes
Failed turntable motor, Broken turntable coupler, Faulty turntable position sensor, Loose wiring to turntable motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Unplug the microwave before accessing the bottom or internal components.
- Check mechanical parts: Remove the glass tray and roller ring. Inspect the turntable coupler for cracks or wear. Replace if damaged.
- Test motor rotation: With the tray removed, start a short cook cycle (if safe to do so) and observe whether the coupler turns. If it does not, stop the cycle and disconnect power.
- Access motor: Remove the bottom panel (or outer cover, depending on model) to access the turntable motor.
- Test motor: Disconnect the motor wires and test for continuity with a multimeter. An open motor indicates failure.
- Inspect wiring: Check the wiring harness and any turntable sensor (if equipped) for loose connections or damage.
- Replace faulty parts: Install a new turntable motor and/or turntable coupler as needed. Reassemble and test.
