Open or shorted humidity sensor, Loose sensor connector, Damaged sensor wiring harness, Failed control board sensor input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before accessing internal components.
- Reset: Unplug for 5 minutes, then plug back in. If E-11 returns when using sensor cook, proceed.
- Locate humidity sensor: Typically mounted on the upper side wall or ceiling of the cavity, behind a small grille.
- Inspect and reseat: Remove the outer cover or interior panel to access the sensor. Check the connector and wiring for damage; reseat the plug.
- Replace sensor: If wiring is intact but E-11 persists, replace the humidity sensor with a Kenmore-compatible part.
If a new sensor does not resolve the error, the main control board may be defective and should be evaluated by a technician.
