Possible Causes
Blown internal line fuse, Tripped home circuit breaker, Faulty power cord, Failed noise filter board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Always unplug the microwave before inspection. Internal components can be hazardous.
- Check outlet and breaker: Test the outlet with another appliance. Reset any tripped breaker or replace a blown household fuse.
- Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, burns, or kinks in the cord. If damaged, the cord must be replaced by a professional.
- Internal fuse (for experienced DIYers): With the unit unplugged, remove the outer cover and locate the ceramic line fuse near the power entry. If visibly blown or tests open with a meter, replace it with the exact same rating. If it blows again immediately, a deeper fault exists.
- Noise filter board: If the fuse is good but no power reaches the control board, the noise filter (power) board may be defective and should be replaced.
If you are not comfortable opening the unit, have a technician diagnose the no-power condition.
