Defective touchpad membrane, damaged user interface board, loose ribbon cable between keypad and control, liquid spill into control panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before removing the control panel.
- Power reset: Unplug for 5 minutes, then restore power to see if the error clears.
- Access control panel: Remove the upper grille, then the screws securing the control panel. Carefully tilt the panel out.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Disconnect and reconnect the flat ribbon cable from the keypad to the main control board. Ensure it is fully seated and not torn or corroded.
- Check for moisture: Look for signs of water or cleaning solution intrusion. Allow the panel to dry completely if moisture is present.
- Test keypad: With power restored and panel reinstalled, test multiple buttons. If F2E0 returns or some keys do not respond, replace the keypad or complete user interface assembly as specified for your KitchenAid model.
