Stuck primary door switch, miswired door switch harness after previous repair, shorted main control relay, broken door latch causing constant switch activation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Immediate Safety Concern: A microwave that runs with the door closed but not commanded can be unsafe. Unplug it immediately.
- Inspect door switches: Access the door switch cluster and verify correct mounting and wiring according to the tech sheet.
- Check for stuck switch: Manually operate each switch; replace any that do not click or remain closed.
- Verify harness routing: Ensure wires are connected to the correct switch terminals (COM, NO, NC) as per the wiring diagram.
- Control relay: If switches and wiring are correct, the main control's power relay may be welded closed and the control board should be replaced.
