Microwave display shows E6 and keypad or touch controls do not respond correctly.

Safety: Unplug the microwave before removing the control panel or touching internal wiring.

Steps:

• 1. Power reset: Unplug the microwave for 5–10 minutes to allow the control board to fully reset. Plug back in and check if E6 clears.
• 2. Dry out moisture: If E6 appeared after heavy steam cooking, leave the door open and allow the control area to dry for several hours. Avoid directing steam at the control panel.
• 3. Inspect keypad ribbon cable: Remove the control panel fascia (usually a few screws behind the trim). Carefully disconnect and reconnect the flat ribbon cable from the keypad to the control PCB, ensuring it is fully seated and not corroded.
• 4. Check for damage: Look for cracks in the plastic fascia, signs of liquid spills, or corrosion on the keypad connector. If the membrane keypad is bubbled, torn, or unresponsive in certain areas, it likely needs replacement.
• 5. Replace keypad or control PCB: Install a new Logik-compatible membrane keypad or full control panel assembly if available. If a known-good keypad still gives E6, the control PCB may be defective.

Do not spray cleaners directly onto the control panel; apply to a cloth first to prevent future moisture-related faults.
