Possible Causes
Failed turntable motor, Broken or stripped turntable coupler, Jammed turntable support wheels, Loose wiring to turntable motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before accessing the underside or internal components.
Steps:
- 1. Check mechanical parts inside cavity: Remove the glass tray and inspect the turntable support ring and wheels. Clean off food debris and ensure the wheels roll freely. Check the plastic coupler in the center for cracks.
- 2. Test without load: With the tray removed, run a short cook cycle and observe the coupler. If it does not turn at all, the motor or its wiring may be faulty.
- 3. Access turntable motor: On many Logik models, the turntable motor is accessible from the bottom. Remove the bottom plate (if present) after unplugging the unit. Locate the small synchronous motor behind the coupler.
- 4. Check for power and continuity: Inspect the motor wiring for loose connectors. Test the motor coil with a multimeter; an open circuit indicates a failed motor.
- 5. Replace faulty parts: Replace a failed turntable motor or broken coupler with Logik-compatible parts. Reassemble and test with the glass tray in place.
Do not operate the microwave long-term without a rotating turntable, as it can cause uneven heating and potential hot spots.
