Microwave exterior cabinet becomes excessively hot to the touch during normal use.

Safety: If the cabinet is too hot to touch comfortably, unplug and allow to cool.

Steps:

• 1. Improve airflow: Move the microwave to ensure recommended clearances on all sides.
• 2. Clean vents: Remove dust and grease from intake and exhaust grilles.
• 3. Check fan operation: Listen for the fan during cooking. If silent, the fan motor may be faulty (see E4).
• 4. Avoid enclosing: Do not install a countertop Logik microwave in a closed cabinet unless it is specifically designed for built-in use with proper ventilation.
