Microwave beeps repeatedly and displays SE; some keys may appear to be pressed by themselves (self-entry).

Safety: Unplug the microwave before working on the control panel.

Immediate action:

• Unplug the unit for 5–10 minutes to see if the error clears after a reset.
• If SE returns or random beeping continues, proceed with inspection.

Panel inspection:

• Check for signs of liquid spills, steam damage, or cracks on the keypad surface.
• Remove the control panel assembly and inspect the back of the keypad and ribbon cable for corrosion or burn marks.

Corrective actions:

• If moisture is present, gently dry the area and allow the panel to air dry completely for several hours, then retest.
• If specific keys are always shorted or the error persists, replace the membrane keypad or entire control panel assembly.
• If a new keypad does not resolve SE, replace the touch control PCB/main control board.

Prevention: Avoid using excessive steam directly under the control panel (over-the-range models) and do not spray cleaners directly on the keypad.
