Over-the-range Magic Chef microwave cooktop light does not work or is stuck on.

Safety: Unplug the microwave or turn off the circuit breaker before replacing bulbs.

Bulb replacement:

• Remove the lamp cover under the microwave.
• Replace the bulb with the exact type and wattage specified by Magic Chef.

If light still does not work:

• Check the socket for power (technician-level test) and inspect for heat damage.
• Replace a damaged socket.
• If the light is stuck on or never comes on despite a good bulb and socket, the control board lamp relay may be stuck and the board will need replacement.
