Possible Causes
Failed turntable motor, Jammed turntable coupler, Broken turntable rotation sensor (if equipped), Damaged wiring to motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave before accessing the bottom panel.
Steps:
- 1. Remove glass tray and roller ring: Check for food debris, broken glass, or warped plastic that could jam rotation. Clean thoroughly.
- 2. Inspect coupler: The turntable coupler (plastic hub) should be firmly seated and not cracked. Replace if damaged.
- 3. Test rotation: With the tray removed, start a short cook cycle and observe the coupler from above (through the cavity). If it does not turn and E10 appears, the motor or its circuit is faulty.
- 4. Access motor (experienced DIYers): Remove the microwave from power, then remove the bottom cover. Locate the turntable motor mounted under the cavity floor.
- 5. Check motor: Inspect for burnt smell or discoloration. Test motor coil resistance with a multimeter; replace if open or shorted.
Note: Ensure the replacement motor matches the original MasterChef part number and voltage rating.
