Possible Causes
Burned-out cavity lamp, Loose lamp socket, Failed lamp relay on control board, Broken lamp wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave before accessing the lamp. Some models require cabinet removal; others have an external lamp cover.
Steps:
- 1. Locate lamp access: Check for a small cover on the side or top of the cabinet. If none, the lamp may be accessed only by removing the outer cabinet.
- 2. Replace bulb: Remove the old cavity lamp and install a new one of the same type and wattage specified by MasterChef.
- 3. Check socket: Ensure the lamp is seated firmly and that the socket is not burned or loose.
Note: If a new bulb does not light, the lamp relay or wiring may be faulty and require control board or harness repair.
