How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Remove the top grille and control panel to access the keypad ribbon cable.
Inspect the ribbon for corrosion, discoloration, or physical damage.
Clean the connector contacts gently and reseat the ribbon firmly.

Test:

Restore power and test keypad operation. If SE returns or certain keys trigger the error, the keypad is defective.

Corrective action:

Replace the membrane keypad or the entire control panel assembly if the keypad is integrated.
If a new keypad does not resolve SE, the user interface board or main control board may also be faulty.
