Possible Causes
Open or shorted grill temperature sensor, Damaged wiring to upper cavity sensor, Failed sensor connector, Faulty control board sensor input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the oven to cool completely before working near heating elements.
- Cool-down: If the error appears after heavy grill use, allow the unit to cool for 30–60 minutes and try again.
- Inspect sensor area: On combination models, locate the grill/convection sensor near the top of the cavity. Check for visible damage or dislodged mounting.
- Check wiring (advanced): Remove the outer cover and trace the sensor wires back to the control board. Ensure connectors are fully seated and wires are not pinched or burned.
- Test sensor: Use a multimeter to measure sensor resistance at room temperature and compare to Miele specifications. Replace the sensor if readings are out of range.
- Control board: If the sensor and wiring are good, the control board input may be defective and should be replaced by a technician.
