Microwave displays F16 and may not recognize door status correctly.

• Check door alignment: Ensure the door closes evenly and the hinges are not loose or bent.
• Inspect door magnet: Some Miele models use a magnet in the door to signal closed status. Verify the magnet is present and properly seated.
• Inspect sensor (advanced): Remove the control panel to access the door sensor (reed switch or Hall sensor). Check for loose mounting or damaged wiring.
• Test sensor: Use a multimeter to test the sensor’s operation while opening and closing the door. Replace the sensor if it does not switch reliably.
• Control board: If the sensor and magnet are good, the input circuit on the control board may be defective and require replacement by a technician.
