Possible Causes
Failed user interface PCB, Stuck or shorted touch keys, Damaged control panel ribbon cable, Firmware corruption in control module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing any trim or control panels.
- Power cycle: Unplug the microwave for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect. This can clear minor software glitches.
- Check for stuck keys: Gently press each button on the control panel. If any key feels stuck or does not click, the membrane may be damaged.
- Dry out moisture: If the panel was recently cleaned or exposed to steam, leave the door open and allow the unit to dry for several hours. Avoid using excessive water or spray cleaners on the panel.
- Inspect connections (advanced): Remove the control panel and inspect the ribbon cable and connectors for corrosion or damage. Reseat the cable firmly.
- Replace UI board: If F6 persists and keys do not respond correctly, replace the user interface PCB or complete control panel assembly as specified by Miele.
