How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety note: Mild odors are common in new appliances but should diminish with use. If you experience eye or throat irritation, ventilate the area.
- Initial burn-in: Run the microwave empty on a low power setting for a few minutes, then with a bowl of water and lemon slices for 5–10 minutes to help absorb odors.
- Ventilate: Open windows or use an exhaust fan during initial uses.
- Monitor: Odors should decrease significantly after several uses. If they intensify or are accompanied by smoke, stop using the unit and contact service.
