Possible Causes
Unplugged humidity sensor, broken sensor wiring, failed humidity sensor, defective control board input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before accessing internal components.
- Locate humidity sensor: Typically mounted near the top of the cavity or behind a small grille. Refer to the Monogram service manual for exact location.
- Check connections: Inspect the sensor connector and harness for loose or disconnected plugs.
- Continuity test: With the sensor disconnected, measure resistance across its terminals and compare to Monogram specifications. An open circuit indicates a bad sensor.
- Replace sensor: Install a new humidity / steam sensor if it tests open or out of range. If wiring and sensor are good, the electronic control board may be at fault.
